Counselling and therapy in London
I am an experienced psychotherapist, working in private practice. I am based in Kentish Town and Russell Square.
In addition to a private practice, I have extensive experience in the voluntary sector for charities such as HomeStart, FreshStart, Help Counselling Centre and NHS Music Psychotherapies Services. I have worked specifically with women survivors of trauma, physical, emotional and sexual violence and abuse.
My training is in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy and I am UKCP and BACP accredited. I use a range of therapeutic approaches. This may include psychodynamic interpretations (early life issues), cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Humanistic, Gestalt (chair work) and existential perspectives, incorporating dream work and creative imagination techniques (visualisation and drawings).
My approach draws on a broad theory base so my engagement with each client is flexible, unique and tailored to their specific requirements.
As a therapist, I hold and provide a safe non-judgemental environment where you can develop and mature at your own pace. I like to take an active part in the work we do as I view the therapeutic relationship as a co-creative process. Every therapy task is about building a relationship that will itself become the agent of change as I believe that it is the relationship that heals.
I have a keen interest in the exploration of clients coming from different cultures who are struggling to find their roots and questioning their identity.
I work with the following issues:
- Depression and anxieties
- Life crisis
- Stuckness and lack of meaning
- Inner child work
- Personal development and self-esteem
- Life transition/changes
- Identity crisis
- Relationship difficulties
I work both in English and French and fees are available on request.
